Election 2010: The Greens are a dangerous menace

Martin Lehmann 18 August 2010

If a country or group with world domination ambitions, such as China or an alliance of Muslim countries, wanted to weaken Western countries and destroy their economies, they could no better than setting up a front group such as the Greens to prepare the way.

Many well-meaning people are taken in by the trendy front of the Greens. But they need to look closer and study their policies.

Trendies and "progressives" are attracted by the Greens' apparent aim to save the planet from global warming. However, the Greens policy requires Australia to achieve zero net carbon emissions by no later than 2050 (Clause 15 of climate policy). At the same time their policies totally prohibit the use of nuclear power to replace coal-fired power stations. They cannot really be serious in their ambition to produce all electricity from renewable energy sources such as wind farms.

Apart from blighting the landscape with tens of thousands of windmills, the Greens must be aware that windmills and solar panels must be backed up with a base load capacity of 70-80% of the out put of the renewable energy generators.

To achieve these unrealistic aims would require us to live in caves and ride bikes for transport.

If the Greens had their way they would destroy the economies of Australia and other Western countries into which they have their tentacles.

Although many of the Greens policies sound quite sensible, they mask their real aims hidden away in the fine print. For example, Principle 1 of their Global Governance policies states;

Global governance is essential to meet the needs of global peace and security, justice, human rights, poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability.

This sound like a pitch for world government, a dangerous concept where each country gives up its sovereignty to be ruled by a world body of unelected elites.

As a result of the back-door preference deal between the Greens and Labor, the Greens will most likely hold the balance of power in the Senate following the federal election. We can be sure the Greens will use their position to implement as many as possible of their destructive policies.
